Lieve mensen, Dertien jaar geleden hebben we, dankzij John en zijn mannen, Café 't Mandje hersteld, heringericht en heropend. Een enorm karwei, maar dat is gelukt vóór.

Anders dan vaak wordt gedacht is 't Mandje niet het eerste homocafé van Amsterdam: al in het eerste kwart van de 20e eeuw waren er ongeveer vijf.
